Grant Sim

Scientist

Grant Sim is a scientist at the Wisconsin Evaluation Collaborative within the Wisconsin Center for Education Research. He serves as principal investigator or co-principal investigator on several evaluations of state and local educational initiatives combining quantitative and qualitative methods. His other work includes project management, policy research, and data analysis. Projects he has worked on include evaluations of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction’s (DPI) SAGE small class size initiative, DPI's Achievement Gap Reduction program, DPI's Academic and Career Planning initiative, Madison Metroplitan School District's Tutoring Partnerships, the Milwaukee Partnership Schools project, and Milwaukee Public Schools’ TEAM GEAR UP initiative. He also provided technical assistance for the U.S. Department of Education’s Teacher Incentive Fund. Prior to joining WCER, Grant worked for the Office of Educational Accountability at DPI. He holds a master's degree in public affairs from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
