College Possible Milwaukee Evaluation

This study will measure the effect of the College Possible program in Milwaukee. College Possible provides a 2-year after-school curriculum to high school juniors and seniors that includes SAT and ACT test preparation services, college admissions and financial aid consulting, and guidance on the transition to college. Students apply as high school sophomores and enter the 2-year program as juniors. The program is limited to students from families below the median city/county household income, and a minimum GPA of 2.0 is suggested for program participation.

College Possible (formerly "Admission Possible") is a nonprofit AmeriCorps organization whose mission is to make college admission and success possible for low-income students in the United States through an intensive curriculum of coaching and support. Its model uses recent college graduates as near-peer mentors for students lacking the social resources to successfully enroll in and graduate from college. Headquartered in Saint Paul, Minnesota, the organization currently serves students in Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Milwaukee, Omaha, Portland, and Philadelphia.
